What a great ghost story! Absolutely brilliant way to get them to split up. How utterly riveting, that scene when Dean has to cut into Sammy to save him. Amazing job!

I loved your story so much, that I came back to it and read it again. I found it realistic that Sam's hanging had consequence and his throat closed up. The little operation was scary. I really liked Sam's confession at the end. The otter was a cute addition Thanks for writing.

Loved this story, awesome and original plot and you got perfectly the boys strained relationship during this time and were so inside their heads, especially Dean's with his conflict of being pissed at his brother but his default caring mode also strong. And great way you got them to talk at different times! Loved Sutro Sam the otter and also Dr Mason (incidentally the name of my first GP!) Well written and gripping from start to finish. A definite fave.

You know...I think the explanation of the purgatory time was much better than the show. Just different enough that you could believe it. I truly though the explanation in the show did not wash. Good story!

Wonderful fic! Lots of Sam hurt (always good! XD) and a great plot! I also loved the way that you mandated to breach the gap between Sam and Dean, which bas grown troublingly big over the course of Season 8. Love all of your focus, keep up the stunning writing!

What a great story. I mean, DAMN. You weren't kidding when you said you try hard to write your stories to read like actual episodes written by the writing team itself. You nailed it. Totally and completely. I'm so gonna have to read more of your stuff now!

Can I just say: Magnus Dunlevy has got to be the most perfect name for a jerk psycho ghost with a million bones in a million places. Seriously. It's just perfect.
And I love the fic, of course (I don't think I've ever read one of yours I didn't like!) The plot was awesome, and I loved the bromance ;) And I'll always appreciate the almost-suicidal-sam headcanon.
Just a thought, but I've noticed you have Dean calling Sam "buddy" and "kiddo" alot in your fics. I think it's so adorable, but I'm not sure I've ever heard Dean call Sam anything like that in the actual show. Or if he has, it's only rarely. I know you said that you like to keep things as real to the show as possible, and I think you do a fantastic job of that! And I'm not even sure that the nicknames take away from that. It's just something that struck me as outside strict canon, and i'd thought I'd mention it. Do with it as you will. AND KEEP WRITING FICS BECAUSE YOU'RE AWESOME! :D :D 3 3

In fanfic, Dean understands what Sam went through.
It makes me happy there are other fans who realize that Sam was done and broken.
