Great story, exploring how a person would have become a "washed up" pilot in real life.

As well as expanding how he would have become estranged from his family.

Can we get a follow-up? Or a sequel? Because Pentecost told Raleigh that all the Mark III pilots were *dead*. So, what happened to Marcus and Amelie?

hm your jaeger academy is taking to long, i think form all infos i get it last for year or so but not more then that, when the hell will they get new rangers if they had school that last for over 4-5years, everything else is more or less okay,

This was awesome, and its nice to see someone who understands the Jaeger naming theme instead of just using an allergic-to-creativity names like 'Black Hawk' and 'Night Blade'. I read those names and retch, because real Jaeger names are so much cooler, and you really captured that.

Also the story itself was fucking boss, so there's that.

This is a very interesting take on the story of Pacific Rim. Though I am not really liking the ending for poor Marcus no longer has a purpose. I see Amelie going out to find him after she recovers for while his family wouldn't take him back he still has family in Amelie along with her daughter.

But I am always a sucker for happy endings and this makes me kind of sad.

Moving on the first person-like telling of the story is weird but it does tell the story in a way. I got used to it by half-way through reading. I also like how you followed the path of the movie where a Male/Female Ranger Team don't become romantically involved which is kind of refreshing in a story after numerous other stories have the Male and Female leads getting into a relationship.

That said still a great story and I hope you continue the story in a sequel of some sort.
