You did a great job with this. You've got a nicr writing style that flows and the characters were very IC. The only complaint I have about your writing is that I felt like there was more showing than telling and there was some repetitive explanations. For example, you explained pretty much everything in narration, which felt more like telling to me, and then you really just repeated it all in Ash's dialogue. What I suggest is that you take out the narration explaining the whole hero thing and just have Ash explain it in his dial

Outstanding one shot. The crazy summary drew me in, and after I read the story, couldn't help but smile at how it all fell into place. You captured Misty's snide well, and this might be the only public outlandish way Ash could reveal his feelings for Misty that I can get on board with.

That was great! Everyone was in character, though slightly grown up. Ash's awkwardness and subsequent teasing of Misty, Misty's threats, Brock being the one to start the chant. It was all good. And the lines:

"I am going to castrate you, Ash Ketchum!"

Ash just grinned cheekily as the audience chuckled, certain members more supportive of her threat than others. "I knew that when I called you up here." he replied.

They were pure gold.
