Very nice descriptions of setting and season. I like Phoenix/Miles, but it was a little weird in this story (Im pretty sure that's just me). I liked the bits with Pess (but I thought Pess was a she? It might just be Fannon-again, not like it matters)

I like that Maya and Pearls went to find the ring with Nick.

I loved all the detailed imagery about the ring and the scenery:) My only suggestion is that I would've preferred that Miles called him Phoenix, but I can still see Wright.
