I think this is a bit harsh on John- 'cause while he was a bit of a douche, and he did unintentionally emotionally abuse his children (mainly Dean) he did love them very deeply. I think it would have thrown him off, he may have said a few things he regretted later, but in the end he would have been okay with it.
However, it was still very satisfying to read and a good fic. Thanks for writing! :)

I really enjoyed this. But if I may add my opinion, if not then please ignore and know I enjoyed reading this, is that while John may have been a hard-ass he did love his sons and the thing with Sam was just because they were so much alike and everyone was a bit too worked up and in John's defense Sam was poking all of his father's buttons. But I believe that John would be happy that his sons were happy. And furthermore there is nothing to suggest that he was a homophobe. But for the sake of a fan fiction I enjoyed how he was portrayed and it was well written!
