Going back so far was a terrible idea. It's entirely possible that no Voldemort will result in less "dark" influence in Slytherin house. That kind of influence was what led to Snape calling Lily the m-word which was what destroyed their friendship. Without that happening they could have easily become a couple with James having no chance with Lily. And what would that mean for the chances for Harry being born in the first place?

This is a horrifying story and I'm down for it.
