Well ... kind of a pity the protagonist couldn't actually get better. If it were a world swap, an actually change from one universe to another it's one thing. But to maintain the fictional aspect and she *still* can't cope?

So far your Oc sounds like a chick thats never played anything, on any system. The fumbling and stumbling over anything to do with the game. The two things that pop out to me is the contradiction of " No biotics...wish i had magic". The next is most want to be tall not short. Im 5'9 if i could i wouldnt choose to be short. On to the next chapter.

After over a week I finally finished reading this absolutely fantastic story. I love how you seemlesly captured the manarisms of the characters both in-game and in your own interpretations of them. I will admit that I feel that the romance (as good as it is) between Amiee and James is a happened a bit too soon with them basically fucking right after Mars, but as their relationship grew I found myself rooting for them and feeling genuinely sad the closer they got to Earth. I love the attention to realism as well, noting all of the injuries that the game doesn't pat attention to. I enjoyed how as the story went on you didn't just pander to the lowest common denominator and showed humanity in characters who previously didn't have any, helping Shepard make some of the important decisions and having her acknowledge them. This is one of the better stories I've read. All that being said I have one major gripe; near the end on the way to earth (I understand the chapters needed to be short due to time constraints irl) the chapters all kind of blended together and didn't mesh well with the tone the rest of the story had set. All in all I'd say that this is a 8/10 amazing work and I can't wait to read more of your work

Well Holy crap. This was...stunning, I loved it. Partly as it was such a great story, partly it was the writing, partly it was the incredible characterisation but, I confess, reading about giving it legs and all the other bits of Brit...Thanks, thank you so much, I enjoyed every minute of the three times I have read it.

Ahhh, the feeling of seeing all your figurative blood, sweat, and tears come to fruition. You made it, peach! Congrats! I knew you could do it. And with A happy ending no less! Much surprise, very proud. On to the nitty gritty... Do i think this could be improved? Yes. I personally would like to see a more in depth scene where amiee gets to see the world being rebuilt with all the races and see some of her old friends. It would be heartwarming in the extreme. However, i know youre tired of writing this story so no need. As for what I liked, you were able to dig into the other characters very well despite not having played in years. Just goes to show you should come play it with me again. Lol thank you for the awesome story peach, and I look forward to many more. :D
