I absolutely LOVE this story! You have such an amazing way with words and your characterisation is spot on. Not only do you write Emma and Hook well, but you've captured Snow and David just as wonderfully too. It was a pleasure to read.

On top of that, plot wise, this was a really nice exploration of the burgeoning feelings between Hook and Emma both highlighting and continuing the connection they've obviously shared ever since their adventure on the beanstalk.

So many good parts it's hard to comment on just one thing but the whole first chapter was brilliant...actually, scratch that, all the chapters were fab.

David's comment when lifting Hook was so funny, and I could really see him saying something like that. The poignant scene between Hook and Milah. Emma trying to justify Neal leaving her - so, so well written - Snow being the rock she is and handling all the situations with understated resolve.

Honestly, I couldn't stop reading it and this is now very firmly one of my favourite stories.

That was amazing. The depth of it was just absolutely incredible, and the ending was somehow perfect despite its open-ended-ness. (Or maybe because of it.)

Also, "itching blood" is perhaps the best description for that directionless energy that comes from the unfinished potential of a situation that I've ever heard (or read). Is that a phrase I've somehow missed out on or did you come up with it? Because if it's the latter... Hats off to you. I love it.

I started sobbing at Chapter 4 as Emma and her parents searched for Hook. He was coming back to her. That was heartbreaking. Chapter 5 was beautiful. He understands her so well and yet she struggles with her vulnerability. His conversation with Milah made me cry also. The selflessness of their farewell to each other when he could have taken the easy way and died. But that would have broken his promise. This is wonderful writing. Come back to OUAT fanfiction, your readers will welcome you.

I just loved this story so much! Action, angst, real emotion...it had it all! I love Killian telling Emma that he would come back for her, assuring her that she didn't deserve being left and he would never have left her behind as had happened to her before. The Lost Boy attack was heartpounding, and I loved that when Emma woke up she wouldn't leave Killian behind either. Wonderful writing!

Oh my gods. Why isn't there a genre option stating 'emotional angst so bad it'll make you fucking cry'?! Because that is the only one, the only option this chapter would've fit it, and gods did I love the chapter. Please post anything CS soon - a prompt, drabble, new chapter, anything, because you're one of the best CS writers out here both plot wise and writing style wise (...and I actually quite fancy you when you're not yelling at me (that was necessary because that line made me scream when I first heard it)) so you need to post something like NOW.

This was awesome and amazing. Fabulous characterization and such a perfect ending.

I really like how you have Hook read Emma so well, and how you make it clear how alike they are. I liked how you brought Emma's insecurities to the forefront and showed how Hook was the best person to meet them. Obviously I'm here after needing some fic to read after that CS kiss, and this was a lovely read to have after that. Keep writing the Captain Swan!
