It worked well how you showed things from Tony's perspective, then the Avengers' - could've been boringly repetitive, but you added something new to it each time and it was even more horrible seeing it through their eyes knowing what was going to happen. Only criticism really is that it wasn't very original, it was like the stereotypical whump/kidnap/friend-as-leverage/Afghanistan fic. However, the friendship stuff with Clint made it stand out a little - although I've actually read one where pretty much the same thing happens except Clint gets tortured. Oh, another good thing about it was that it wasn't 50/50 hurt/hospital like a lot of h/c fics, it was great that you had the hint that Hassan was going to come back to keep the tension going. Thanks for a good read. |

| A Shieldmaiden of Rohan chapter 12 . 1/19/2014 I enjoyed this story. And it's nice to know that there are other Christian fanfiction writers out there. One note: in chapter eight, Tony remembers that a person can't walk through a hallucination, and then proceeds to try to walk through Agent Coulson. This is a little confusing (though of course, Tony wasn't completely lucid). The story was well written. Tony's idea of photoshopping Fury was genius and definitely in character. Good job! |
