I had hoped that Loki would be freed for saving Thor's life (which I think he did, I don't think Thor would have been able to hold on and then come back without him), or at least have his sentence lessened (confinement to his own rooms, perhaps?) but maybe, if he's past his bitterness, and willing to talk about what happened to him with Thahos, then that could still be to come. Things have changed from canon, and I'm going to believe that things will turn out better. This was such a good, tense read, I really loved that they used to be able to share a mental bond and that they were able to connect that way again. UGH to the giant tick thingie; I was imagining something small, and then you said hockey puck sized...*gulp* Kudos all around to Tony for getting Thor out and getting that thing off and flying Thor back to Asgard and the healers as swiftly as possible. And I really liked Thor asking Loki how he could best show his love and appreciation for him, and Loki answering honestly. And, as you said, he spoke in present and future tense, so maybe he's been told something about being released? I just realised this. Maybe his sentence has been shortened?

Okay, I know you did this ages ago, but I really love it. It's one of those stories that I come back to and read every couple months, just because I love it so much. The bond between siblings is genuine and well done, and I am always touched that Loki was willing to lay everything aside and go beyond his own strength for the sake of his brother; and by giving of himself, helping both of them grow. Also the wording is well and carefully chosen. Thank you for this.

Wow this was a great story with Loki staying there for Thor doing his torture and helping him out afterwards I love when Loki and Thor actually get along .

What a stunning and beautifully crafted story. I admit I skimmed most of Thor's torture because, while not unnecessarily graphic, those type of scenes give me the hee-bee-jeebies however despite that I still appreciated Loki's quiet strength as he stayed with Thor in his mind and the fact he refused to leave him.

My favourite scene though was when Thor visited Loki. His desperate frustration as he tried to make Loki tell him *how* he could show him what he really means, and the fact Loki honestly answered eventually, almost made me cheer and I was delighted to see them reach a new understanding at last.

I was glad though that it remained realistic and even Loki knew he wouldn't simply be freed purely because of what he had done. Then again, he now has something worth more than freedom, I would hazard, because after such a long time he and Thor have genuinely rekindled their brotherly bond and with everything they've been through I highly doubt it could be lost again.

Their customary humour at the end was a deft touch too, and nicely lightened the mood after such intensity.

Wow. I am speechless. I've always wanted to see more "Avengers rescue Injured!Thor with Loki's aid" fics. This was brilliance and the dialogue and creativity and the brotherly feels and GAH. The conversation between the two brothers discussing how best to compliment was one of the best sets of dialogue I have seen between them in a Post-Avengers timeline.
