Nightshade's sydneylover150 chapter 3 . 7/29/2013
I'm loving it. It's odd and interesting that both Jim and Spock have curiosity as a strength and a weakness. No wonder they gravitate towards each other. I'm glad you are show casing that Jim is smart, it seems people forget that at times.

Can't wait to read more.
Gonzo76 chapter 3 . 7/8/2013
I'm so glad I found this story this morning. I think the third chapter is my favorite. I certainly hope you continue.
numom1 chapter 3 . 7/7/2013
I really liked how you portrayed Spock and Jim. I think you did a great job for both of them. I agree that Spock is coming to the realization that Jim means a lot to him. I greatly enjoyed this chapter and am looking forward to more!
RynRinRen chapter 3 . 7/7/2013
I think that you did very well in portraying Spock's character. I enjoy this story very much, and am very glad that you are continuing it. I hoe that you update this story soon. Thanks for writing!
advenlitgirl chapter 3 . 7/7/2013
You did an awesome job detailing what Jim meant to the crew and to Spock...it's nice to see Spock thinking that way- very sweet. You seem to do well with Spock too. I'm not supremely well versed with the fandom, but he seems Spock like to me haha. Great chapter!
DNSDC chapter 3 . 7/7/2013
Wow! I love the way you explore Jim's character, and the interaction between Jim and Spock was spot on :) I love the way that Jim carries on about mutiny and how you sneak in the little details too, like how Chekov cooks worse than Nyota, and how Spock is shaken by his emotions. Regarding Spocks POV, it did work. You managed to highlight the reasons for the crews high opinion of Jim, which is mainly that he cares for each and everyone of His Crew (which I always thought meant family to Jim)
Now for the nitpicking parts.
Sentence structure, while sometimes choppy, actually works quite well. It works, because that's the way Jim's mind works, if you know what I mean :)
You may have gotten a bit too keen with the comma's in a couple of places, for example...
{So Spock went through the data again, making neat, precise marks,} could be [So Spock went through the data again, making precise marks.] But that's just my opinion, and it doesn't actually impact the flow of the story.
Spelling and punctuation is of a much higher quality than is usually seen on this marvellous site, although one mistake did stand out, probably because you put it in brackets.(inprisonment) should be (imprisonment)

I was quite amazed that this was your first story, and I hope that you will share many more.
You are an awesome writer, and thank you for the story.

Haha great chapter:

This made me laugh:
Spock had begun to awkwardly hang around his hospital room, and was around almost as much as Bones was.

Except, you know, awkward.
advenlitgirl chapter 1 . 7/7/2013
Always makes me tear up a bit...anyway, great job with the flashback!
HappytheExceed chapter 3 . 7/7/2013
Love how Spock or even McCoy treated Jim as a "princess" & "fragile". Jim is a great leader & always is. Getting to know everyone under him is really impressive. True leader does that.
Starsinger chapter 3 . 7/7/2013
Spock kind of reminds me of me. I've been told to tie airhorns to my ankles I walk so quietly. I don't mean to scare people, but, apparently I sneak up on people and do just that! Great story, too!
