Oh! Oh! I love this! Rose gets to see her Doctor again, the Doctor that's her's alone, and Nine gets to see Rose in her full glory, which he never gets to see in the Rose that is relative to him.
I'm American too so can't really help you with the slang or accent. You know that when I first watched the Dalek episode I thought Chris/Nine was just slurring the 'r' and saying Darlek? :P
I like your subtle usage of just the right words, like describing her smile as 'wolfish' or describing his speechlessness as 'daft' when any number of synonyms might have been used. It highlights their special connection without beating us over the head with it.

Poor Rose, it would be France. Well at least now she'll have a good memory with the Doc to help smooth over her last involvement with "France". I think this Rose would definitely understand him better after her travels and I'm glad you gave her/Nine their moment.

It always did seem to me that something happened between him asking her the first time and him asking her the second time.

Oh, this was so good. I can just see Dimension Cannon Rose, all geared up for battle, giving Nine some hope. I think that was a really powerful scene, the Doctor leaving and traveling without her, then realizing that he doesnt want to, and trying just one more time. At the time, I didn't see it, but after a while, it became one of my favorites.

Also, I happen to love Ingrid Michelson as well.

I think that your ending was rather good. The Ninth Doctor was known for his brevity, and thus using one sentence to finish fits him.

I love the concept. Not something I'd thought of before, but I really like it. And very well told. That phrase, 'dying stars in her eyes, ' just gorgeous. Beautifully written.

This is a great concept and will be my new head canon. I liked the mental bond the Doctor and Rose shared, if only for a moment. What this Doctor needs more than anything is hope and something to believe in. Rose gives him that and so much more.
