JK chapter 1 . 10/18/2014
Noooo he doesn't. Sorry.
silverbirch chapter 7 . 10/17/2014
I'm not a great one for happy ending, myself, so I liked the first version.

I've liked this whole story. It has a feeling of reality about it and it made us ask what was so different about Scorpius? Nothing really, he was the same person he'd always been.

I think it should be one of your favourites. It is mine.

Best
yellow 14 chapter 7 . 10/16/2014
Two very...appropriate endings. I think I prefer the second one, it doesn't feel rushed and although it's not all happiness and light, there's the promise of a better future. The first one feels very real as well and again offers hope for the future, but personally I feel like half the story is missing. Like suddenly being told the story in retrospect as it were.

I'm also glad you didn't make it an Albus/Scorpius story, taking the easy way out.

Both endings however are very good and keep writing.

FUCK MAN I LOVE THIS
yellow 14 chapter 6 . 10/5/2014
Wow...just...a really amazing chapter. I think Albus's reaction is perhaps more a shock reaction though than hate...it's very difficult to tell. And given some of his actions in the rest of the fic, I don't think he hates Scorpius. An interesting and difficult scenario. I'd like to think he'll come around though. Outstanding chapter, keep updating
silverbirch chapter 6 . 9/30/2014
We've all - sort of - done something similar to Scorpius, one way or another. You like somebody, you come on to them and, in the words of one of my favourite songs, you get flattened like a pheasant on a country lane. So, in that respect he's not done anything out of the ordinary - except he has, because he's DIFFERENT, he's WRONG.

I loved that repetition of "What's wrong with you?" because it takes on a whole new meaning in this story that does pick up on our prejudices.

If you rewrote this chapter, making Albus Rose, then Scorpius would have done nothing except make himself look a prat and all his friends would be ribbing him for a few days and trying to find every opportunity to embarrass him whenever Rose was within 100 yards. Where you challenge us is to ask why this should be any different. It will be.
Jensniffer chapter 6 . 9/30/2014
This is really good. I get a little confused with the sorting of the chapters, but I think that's just because I'm used to reading things in chronological order as opposed to per character interaction. It's a nice different though :)
silverbirch chapter 5 . 2/22/2014
Another good one and one that certainly got me thinking because I could find myself in that situation, any parent could. I think you got them just about right. Your son is always your son, but would I entirely comfortable with it? I don't know.

You may not remember this, or maybe it wasn't shown, but Harry Enfield had a wonderful character called "Modern Dad", whose son is gay. He tries so hard to be accepting, but always falls slightly short. There are YouTube clips which are well worth watching. I think that would be Draco.
AFLlover chapter 5 . 2/20/2014
excellent story. thanks
yellow 14 chapter 5 . 2/20/2014
I really like their characterisation here. I see Draco being more...accepting since the war, especially since his own childhood was so badly scarred. I have to agree with your mother, it is how a mother's love is, or should at least be. (Although there are a few parents who fail in that sadly)

Scorpius's musing as well are really good. I can really believe his nervousness here. Keep updating

Another very good chapter. This is a well thought out story

A superb piece. I love how everyone is unsure of him. (Lorcan aside) It feels very real. Keep updating
