I have no idea how I could possibly have missed this lovely piece! Please forgive me for the length of time it has taken me to discover, read and Review.

I so much love this incredible universe you have created. And every glimpse we are given is a magic window which allows us to peer in on our beloved consulting detective and his doctor. This wonderful piece is no exception.

There is something incredibly sexy about Sherlock being involved in undercover work for England. And Mycroft as “M” ! I have no words. Just genius, my dear.

I loved John’s idle speculation….”he wondered what else was hidden by a perfect fit.” LOL!

The description of the club is amazing. You paint such a vibrant scene that it is easy to imagine it happening. And John’s realization that – even as Sherlock touches his hand – “for the first time in their lives, no one will care.” Such a telling little action but oh so lovely!

And then there’s John’s hesitation…when he asks Sherlock if he leaves alone. And the slight pause. And our army doctor’s instant jealousy over the situation. But then John’s feeling of smugness, several drinks and more dances later, as he sees the look of disappointment in the eyes of those who look in their direction. Again, lovely!

The entire story is just so wonderfully written. And so filled with the urgency of this moment in time, but the obvious love between the two men. And I won’t ruin it for subsequent readers by quoting the scene in their hotel room. But oh my….

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed my foray into The Man No One Liked universe! And as always, my stay was all too brief. I really think you could write another epic adventure and we would all devour it one go and then complain at the end. Rightfully so.

And the saga continues! This is a fantastic snapshot of the boys' lives: John would feel like he had to serve, and the secret service would snap Sherlock up in a heartbeat. You were very clever on realistically interweaving romance and plot, and the theme of aging and retirement is interesting. Your research skills for the period are still in tip top shape, and it's interesting to read these fics just for that even. Thanks so much for the story and I'm always eager for more.

I'm pretty giddy about this fic. The atmosphere, the portent of the next war, the sex, it's all perfect. I do hope there's more to come, but even if not, this stands alone just fine. Thank you.

That was a great read - I love this verse. There is so much potential here. So... pretty please not a one-shot?! I would love to read more of this.

I was just thinking about this universe the other day, wondering if you write any more! This was a lovely piece - so bittersweet - I love how you write their relationship even as they get older!
