Harry needs to learn hand-to-hand, staff fighting, and getting a larger arsenal of spells. Being able to teleport/apparate silently would also be good.

That thing with Oliver and Harry was childish. Sure Roy and Oliver have issues, but Harry's an outsider to that drama and it's definitely understandable why it would've been nice to give him a heads up. Then you put in that line about "Harry winning" after the others laughed. Why does it matter if Harry's winning? Why couldn't Harry be the bigger man and let the both of them win? Or at least handle things well enough nobody is left feeling... betrayed is too strong of a word for it, but the idea is similar. Like someone went behind his back. Like someone is endangering a person he took responsibility for and couldn't care less how it puts him in a delima.

The "Harry winning" thing definitely put that scene over the line of a mature interaction. Like I said, it felt childish. Like people are arguing just for the sake of being more right then the other guy and making them look silly. I don't see the point of that and I'd bet Harry has a similar mindset.

What was the point of that? You didn't resolve the original thought of starting over and letting people from his past life find him if they could. There's no reason for him to become Harry again.

That felt rushed and forced. More importantly it felt like a waste of time. You changed his name and 16 chapters later it culminated in literally nothing. You didn't do something interesting with the name change and it barely came up 2 or 3 times throughout.

This could've been better thought out.

I was kind of worried when I saw who you introduced, but it worked out. Harry's reaction to having his mind read totally saved that scene.

death has a way of mellowing people and forcing them to acknowledge their mistakes. it is said that in the afterlife, all our secrets are laid bare. and we are forced to see the truth of our entire lives. see, and acknowledge. both the good and the bad. so while in life dumbledore may have been unable to admit to his mistakes. in death? he has no choice.

the soul sees all, knows all and reveals all there is to know about us. if you can look into another's soul, truly look and truly see into another's soul? you can see their truth, and completely know them as a person.

its why soul gazes are such big things in most stories that include them. like the Dresden files. to see the soul of a person. is to know them completely, with no filters. you know the TRUTH of who they are. ALL the truths about that person. even the ones that they don't admit even to themselves.

so as a spirit? dumbledore would be slightly changed. because in death, he would be forced to see all he has done, good and bad, and accept the complete truth about his actions, and the consequences of said actions.
