I'ma be honest because, ya know, anonymity of the internet and shit, if I had friends (if) and if they did this to me the moment I had the urge to cut I'd probably cut the drawings out of my skin like peeling off sections of skin from an apple. It wouldn't be the first time I've skinned either. I've found it stings wonderfully, and best of all, it leaves no scars. The patches where skin used to be is shallow in comparison to a cut, so when the skin grows back it leaves no marks, at least most of the time, and when it does leave a faint line of discoloration where the skin is paler and not previously exposed to sunlight people can never figure out what the marks are from, they're so odd, or they look like possible minor burn spots, and they soon turn color to match the rest of the skin. For me sooner rather than later since I'm so pasty to begin with. It also stings like a motherfucker, much more prominent than simple cuts and everlasting in comparison to short-lived lines, with a faster recovery time after the pain to begin again. The only challenge is keeping the wounds clean after the fact.

Then again, if I did have friends (if) who tried this, I'd likely first scream and run before ever letting them touch me, and if they did hold me down then the first thing I'd do afterwards would be to slice the drawings to bits. This is why I don't have friends. That and I have some really real over-the-top fuck-the-whole-fucking-universe kind of issues.

Great story. Wish we all lived like this. That point where you're jealous of Tony, but isn't everyone? Man, great idea for a story I just had...

thank you for using the butterfly project, its something close to my own heart, and its good for it to be shared and for people to know, this was something i used, after a bad time and decided i couldnt do it anymore, i relapesed with cutting 8 months later, but i havent had suicidal thoughts for 2 years 4 months and 25 days, and this would be the same for self harm if i hadnt of realeapsed but ive been clean of self harm for 1 year 5 months and 13 days, yet i still have a a4 peice of paper with info about the butterfly project, the rules and a picture of some butterflys drawn on someones arm. on my wall nearish to my bed so i see it constantly

Wow. I don't even know where to start. This was touching, and beautiful, and just..wow. I was laughing, and crying, and I can't thank you enough for this. It even had my favorite pairing (yay for Steve/Tony)! Thank you. You're an amazing author with a lot of talent. I loved the way you captured everyone's character perfectly, and the way the butterflies represented their personalities was amazing. I absolutely fell in love.

My pretty wife likkes prety things and morning she took aphoto of a beautifull butterfly.I went to look for it cause i also love her and her beautiful clever kids eclaimed "yhoo!"thats a monarch butterfy,its poisonous to human.I WAS ALREADY THING OF MY ASSAULTIG CREATUR ASSAULTI DEVICE , botherred me to kill and not to kill it in my territory.I surfed on internet,shocked to hear that somebody went blind or having touched the beautiful creature ,sad and scared of beauty.

Hey. This is a really touching idea and a lovely story to read, with a few funny bits put in. I loved the part when Tony was around Rhodey, and the jet. I thought that the Bruce part was very cute, too. I can just imagine a teenager Bruce writing Science notes on someone's arm. A really lovely read, with a couple of small mistakes that didn't take anything out of the story. :) - Coal.
