Aww such a good conclusion. I loved the progression in their relationship with the slight teasing between them and how comfortable they seem with each other. I also love how they respect each others methods and ways with the girls. Well done m'dear. Can't wait for the next one.

D'awww, what a beautiful epilogue. It was a beautiful end to a beautiful and touching story.

I had a snigger at the bantering between Constance and Mildred.

"Sucking up to the boss." - LOL

and I couldn't stop my gushing over this part:
{Staring upwards into the stunningly clear sky, she wondered about whether a heaven existed somewhere up there.

From Constance's thoughtful face, with her lips pressed into a soft frown, Mildred knew that she was wondering the same thing.

"I know you miss her," Mildred said softly, "but I know that she would be so proud of how you've kept everything running. She's looking down on us smiling."

Constance's glazed eyes fixed on Mildred's own, before they returned to the window.}

Just perfect!

A cute ending, almost like full circle for Mildred and was appropriate about her and Constance at separate occasions to be still including Amelia, nearly had to reach for the tissues.

Anyway, fabulous chapters! Everyone has been perfectly in character and you have such a lovely writing style, especially when it comes to starting a chapter. :)

Probably my favourite paragraph :)

{Mildred pondered this for a moment. Gazing at the picture of the smiling late spells-teacher, she decided to speak directly from her heart. "I was taught, by four of the most inspirational teachers a girl could have. They each imparted a love of magic and learning, and a desire to be better, despite my natural carelessness. I want to impart this same love onto the next generation and to show them what even the most unlikely of persons can achieve with aspiration and hard work. I am not you, Miss Hardbroom. I am not Miss Cackle. I cannot promise that I will always meet your standards, but I will work my absolute hardest for the sake of the girls, out of respect for you and for Miss Cackles' memory."}

I had the biggest 'awwww' at that paragraph.

Also lol'd at Constance toying with Lavinia and Imogen over her decision at hiring Mildred - hehe.

I look forward to the epilogue.

Yep I teared up! What you wrote about teachers shaping pupils is so true. I had a couple amazing teachers at school who I will never forget for what they did for me. Well done.
