Just a note: "Panic struck Gaius, but wrenching herself free, she through her arms around his neck" I had to reread this twice to realize you probably meant threw not through. Made more sense then.

Loved the whole story. I'll admit, I really liked previous chapters more than this one - the kiss plus slugging scene just felt off for me - but then you nailed the ending and it was wonderful in spades. I loved the character portrayals, they felt so right, both Gaius and Bubbles. I enjoyed reading this as much (if not more. Actually, definitely more) than the original supports. I hope to read/see more of your work in the future!

Thanks for this sweet fic! I read it and was extremely pleased. It's well written, the fangirl in me is satisfied, and Gaius and Bubbles are in-character, as far as I am concerned! I'm glad of how you wrote Bubbles. She's totally adorable, and I also like how you kept her name and features mostly up to the reader-you only refer to her as "Bubbles", the nickname Gaius gives her, and aren't strict to instill her appearances. I find that a good thing since every fan of this ship can read it and see their MU in it.

Seeing Gaius' small bits of jealousy were omg omg omg totally cute too. Job well done!

Dunno if you realized but for the final chapter you've referred to the avatar as bubbles. Like bubbles flushed, bubbles thought to herself, etc
