Great story. Very moving.

You really got inside Aragorn's head! Sharp writing. I really enjoyed this and the author's notes at the beginning made me laugh out loud! There was guffawing, I'm not gonna lie.

Bravo, this was such a good and touching story! I always wondered what thoughts ran through Aragorn's head during that scene. The way you kept repeating the phrase "He was no king" was eerie, it made me think that he was going to give up and leave the Fellowhship. Thankfully he dosen't. Again I say, great story.

Beautifully done. The balance between Aragorn and his own inner doubts and the emergence of trust & faith in Boromir to acknowledge his kinship was spot on. Deeply moving. Great read, thank you.

I'm a huge, huge fan of Boromir, and so I could not resist reading and reviewing this excellent fic, though I am in fact short on time!

I thought you captured perfectly what Aragorn may have been feeling as he watched Boromir, a man who he perhaps had not gotten to know properly until those last moments, die a heroes death.

Once again, you used your powers as a poet to help the fic flow, and to rouse emotion in your readers hearts. I just love your style, and you will definitely be going on my 'favorite authors' list. Well done!

I've reviewed this before, but I just re-read it, and there's a lot more that I want to say.

A more perfect portrayal of what happens in that scene is would not be possible. You have told in words exactly, and I mean EXACTLY what you can see and feel through the character's body language, intonation of words, and expressions on their face.

If someone hadn't even seen the movie, I'm sure they could feel every second and cry just as hard if they read this. If you ever have any free time, you should do this for other scenes from the film. It would be a joy to read.

This was just beautifully done and so true to character. I'm really glad I took the time to look back at some earlier posted LOTR tales. I truely would have missed something wonderful if I hadn't read this story.

Your style is breathtakingly beautiful and a fantastic take on the movie. I have to agree with you on Viggo Mortensen and Sean Bean. I could hear their voices speaking the words from that scene as I read it.

No, I think you're right. I think that really, it was trully at that moment in the movieverse that Aragorn decided to take responsibility for his kingdom, since Boromir was gone. And that Boromir's death, and 'teachings' during their travels gave him the wake up call Aragorn needed to take the reins of Gondor. If only Boromir could have been by his side . . .

If this was your first shot, it was well done. The style was good, the ideas flowed in a smoothe manner. I liked this take on Aragorns thoughts, his inner struggle overlaps so much with Boromirs. I hope you continue to write.
