This is so good. Really lovely, so well-written, and I just have so many feelings about these two and am so happy to have found a decent fic for them. Most of the fremione stuff I keep finding is pretty bad. But this is wonderful :)

A pairing that is even less likely to work than Hermione and Draco was saved by the quality of the writing! It was AU (obviously!) but you didn't lose sight of the essential characters.

Hermione is still that rather naive, uncertain little girl who can plan for everything apart from emotion. I can't imagine her and Ron having an exciting life or giddy wirlwind of a romance because they already know each other too well.

Fred was very good. His emotions at what happened were spot on, if that had been the canon story. Relief and guilt would be a terrible combination.

I wonder, though? How much would they have to change to become a couple?

I loved how sweet this was! I really liked all the detail, even if there may not be as much interaction between the characters, I think that's kind of the point. It's really nice, and I feel like there could even be a sequel or an epilogue-type thing that goes with it. Great work! I hope to read more from you soon!
