I like these two different versions of the end of the battle; nice!

This one is wonderful as well! So tragic. Poor Bilbo spending all that time knowing that Thorin had died hating him and hating himself without anyone to tell him otherwise. The wordless understanding between the two of them at the end, and the softer, sad side of Thorin are wonderful. (But then again, I am a bit of a sucker for the two of them once they are older, wiser, and more regretful of their actions ;) ) Thank you for taking the time to write this!

This chapter was beautiful! The emotion in it, the idea that two people who love one another would both be willing to have sex in a way that neither of them actually likes but one of them NEEDS despite the pain that it causes both of them. This was masterfully written and I loved it!

This is an absolute pleasure to read. Not because I'm a sadist or anything but I love how h/c Thorin is to Bilbo. Such a pity this has ended.
