Intresting start

Brainy mom reminds me of the wowan that played Mr. Simmons mother in the thanksgiving story. And his father reminds me of the father from the Thornberry's. Everyone was grown was funny. Rhonda was right. I can't wait to see why they have to hid this from Brainy. I can't wait to see the pictures. You always do a really great job. Please update when you can.

I really liked this story. It kept me wanting more plus, his relationship with his mother is good. I also like that Brainy's father is just like him. An exact copy. Makes things more fun because he can see into Brainy like no one else can.

When Brainy mentions how Baseball is the only place he's accepted it really hit a cord with me because it's so true. When kids have a passion for something all barriers go away so people can play. But I did think of something. I have a British friend who said the main reason why most Brits are not fond of Baseball is because it's based on a game they made up called rounders. So they see Baseball as mentally challenged. Maybe that's why his "mum" does not like him playing it? Just a thought that you are free to ignore.

One last thought: I love how you took the only scene with Brainy doing something outside Helga stalking and turning into something he loves. It's neat, it's fresh, and so what kids today go for..some of the time. Plus, I LOVE records and have a few myself. Golly Good Show!

This was a really interesting insight on Brainy's life. His father was funny. But, was right that we don't always get what we want. And his other seemed like a drama queen. Can't wait to find out what are those kids from the future want with Brainy? Please update when you can.

I hope that if Helga couldn't get Arnold. Than Brainy would be the next best choice for Helga. I wonder who those kids were. I wonder who Lila got? Please update when you can.

First, let me say how sorry I am it took me this long to read and review. I had a million and one things to do...but enough excuses. Here are my thoughts. 1)"I began to think back to the event fed by my undying frustration." Good line. No really, the diction is great here because you can really sense his frustation. He almost sense how fruitless his love for Helga is. 2) Monobrow angel. What a sweet talker. I like this version of Brainy. He's smart, sweet, and really cares for Helga in a genuine way that you don't see in real life a lot. 3)Poetic and Deep. While those DO describe Helga's gushes, I wonder if it would be better if you wrote it as "She had been going off in one of her poetically deep monologues.." that way it shorten's the sentence some while giving depth to how poetic her gushes. This is only a suggestion so feel free to ignore this comment. 4) In the same line you say "About her feelings for Arnold and her hate for Helga" This reads as though Helga LOVES Arnold and HATES herself. Is that how you meant it to read? But then again, I could be the only one thinking this. 5) I LOL'ed HARD when I heard Brainy has to keep Curly away. He would be creepy wouldn't he? Keep up the funny, girl! 6)"You know I'm not going to comply to you if you call me that." I feel like this might be better "You know I'm not going to answer you if you call me that." It shortens things and get the point across quicker. Again, this just a suggestion. Feel free to ignore this if you don't like it. 7) I LOVE the way you indicate that his inner thoughts. It's a great tool that lets us readers get an inside look. Nice! 8) All Blank. I LOVE that twist. It really adds to his frustration huh? He's DYING to get Helga only to find out he'll get nothing. I especially like when Rhonda says "There no one for you here" Which shows he might meet someone, but not here. And according to Rhonda's tone, here is all there is. A double stab in the heart. 9) I LOVED the mystery kids. I really, really did. I have a guess at who they are, and yet...I could be horribly wrong. Keep up the great work!
