Perfect!
DianeB chapter 1 . 5/16/2013
What a lovely "bit of fluff!" Even reading it now, on May 16, it still gives my little heart a thrill. I feel a bit bad for ol' Harold, in that Janeway dumped him ON Valentine's Day - and I suppose any friend of Harold's who might've seen Janeway and Chakotay in the restaurant may have had cause to think it was something planned - yet as far as J/C fluff goes, this was a spectacularly enjoyable read!

Creative way to get them together!
irisis chapter 1 . 2/26/2013
Aw, I actually felt sorry for Arden... until she spotted you-know-who in the rose garden, that is. Perfect Valentine's Day grade fluff.

We all need more fluff :) I really liked this story!
CKLizzy chapter 1 . 2/19/2013
This, my dear, is not "a bit" of fluff. This is overflowing with fluff. And it's fantastic.
I didn't want to read a fic, but when I saw that you'd written this short romantic one, I just had to take a look at it. Thank you for making me smile for a few minutes; I really needed it and I knew I could rely on you!
See - you're so great on romance and fluff. And Kathryn totally reminded me of myself; I dislike all those Valentine's rituals, with flowers and chocolate and stuff. If you love someone, you don't need a day to let them know. I'm pretty sure Chakotay would be just like you wrote him here - making V-Day special by letting it be a day like every other.
Big thank you hug to you!
Lady Callista chapter 1 . 2/17/2013
Very cute. I like that they had stayed friends, that seems to rarely happen in post Endgame fics when they're dating other people.
badmelk chapter 1 . 2/16/2013
harold never had a chance :). lovely story! thanks for sharing
Helena Gray chapter 1 . 2/15/2013
What a lovely story. :) Nice snapshot of the characters, and I like the way you wrote through Janeway's feeling about her relationship with Harold - just seemed very Janeway.

"Even their lovemaking was perfunctory." - I can definitely see a partner like Harold just "not doing it" for her.

First story of yours I've read, but I'll be sure to check out some of your other work soon. :)
PinkAngel17 chapter 1 . 2/15/2013
Awww, that sweet! Wonderful for Valentines day! :)
American Fantasy chapter 1 . 2/15/2013
Lovely Valentines story! Gotta laugh at Kathryn dumping her boyfriend on such a day. Though I'm glad it led her to Chakotay, who unlike Harold, wouldn't let her go without a fight. Thanks for sharing :)
Rascal207 chapter 1 . 2/15/2013
This was fantastic! Such a cute story, I had so much fun reading this. Thank you for sharing.
imnotacommittee chapter 1 . 2/15/2013
Fluff is good for the soul.
I like that Janeway was all for Harold at the beginning because she'd denied herself for seven years, she was starved for some affection. But just reading about all the stuff he was doing made ME feel stifled. Kathryn is more patient than I! I can just see her waltzing through the rose garden after she got that weight off her shoulders.
And the perfect time to reunite with the one man who can give her what she needs. Love the line "You need someone who will challenge you - someone who's willing to fight for you, and with you if necessary." That Chakotay does, so beautifully.
Thank you for the little bit of fun!
