Okay so some authors have it easy with making there characters believable as the real thing, such as idioms and accents that are easily translated to written word. Regina Mills is not one... She has no ketch frase that a writer can just throw in to capture the characters speech pattern. In order to get Regina this accurate this author must be really good!

"you'll never have to look for me,...I'll always stay"...TRUER words were never spoken. found this on tumblr due to the ginnygate debacle and I think your argument is perfect! about Henry being Snow's brother then...and NO ONE refers to Snow and Regina as stepmother, stepdaughter but it's convenient for naysayers to always bring up the "but she's your stepgrandmother!" argument when it comes to canonizing Swan Queen. puh-lease. so, kudos for stressing that and I would give 5 stars if I could :)

I'm glad I read this. Well done!
janinetrala chapter 1 . 7/2/2015
outsch or like Zelena would say: Ups! Isn't it normally the other way around, the child gets traumatized because it opens the parent's door without knocking and waiting? I think Snow will never forget having seen her daughter with her (in her eyes now even more) evil stepmother.
Cookie19709 chapter 1 . 3/4/2015
Excellent
Stacy Vorosco chapter 1 . 1/26/2015
Ugh, yes. The "step-grandmother" argument is so ridiculous. I especially loved that last part :)

:)(: I completely love everything about this story. Emma standing up to her parents, especially for Regina, always makes me proud and happy. I think Regina's sarcasm is rubbing off on Emma in this and I couldn't help but smile. Emma does it well. Emma didn't back down and even confessed her love for Regina right in Snow's face, YAY! Regina's gloating moments made me laugh and the dialogue in this is perfect. Regina comforting Emma is always a favorite of mine as well. It's so sweet and melts my heart.
Addicted1 chapter 1 . 7/19/2014
"I had promised her that I would always stay."-Awwwwww! This line just got me. My heart did that skip-twist thing that tightens your chest. That just sounded so much like Regina's voice-so matter-of-fact. Like, she had made this promise (and the promise happened to be the thing that would matter the most in the universe to Emma, and she had made it), and, because it was a promise, she would keep it, and the keeping it was obvious. This steadfastness is particularly striking with Snow in the scene, because her presence reminds us all how Regina feels about broken promises. And the fact that Emma had actually confided her fear of abandonment to Regina, and asked her to break that rule of her life, shows the depth of their relationship.

This is my favorite sentence I've read from you so far (and I think I've established that I like your work!).

Ugh. But your closing line-that might be my new favorite. Wow. Take that, "I will always find you." Beautifully done. Just beautifully done. And tying the whole thing into Regina's path to redemption-just lovely. Utterly lovely.

Thank you for this!
