Sebastian being a shithead will never NOT be hilarious

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERSI don't know if this was done intentionally or not, and I'm kicking myself for not noticing sooner because this is the fifth or sixth time I've read this, but I just realized why Ciel and Alois couldn't form a contract before now.

It has been stated many times that there are two conditions that must be met in order to form a contract with a demon. First, the person must believe that God doesn't exist. The second is that they must be desperate for a way out. The demonic duo obviously meet the first condition, and have nearly their entire lives. However, the second condition is only met at this point, when Ciel knows he has to be left in the clutches of Krampus. When they tried to form a contract before, they were only doing so because it would make them stronger, but only at this moment do they actually become desperate for not only that strength, but that connection so they know their partner is truly alright.

I always find something new to marvel at when I read this, and small, clever details like that is what makes me truly envy this author's writing skills.

Rereading this for like the 5th time and after chapter 326 there's a question about what Integra's reaction would be if she made a surprise visit to the manor and walked in on a "Nerf Battle to the Death" and now I'm absolutely CACKLING at the mental image of her accidentally being shot. Just picture it: The ever serious, ever terrifying, "cigar chewing beast woman" Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, with a goddamn NERF DART stuck to her FOREHEAD.

I once read half way through this fic and lost my place and couldn't remember where it was and didn't want to reread over one hundred chapters because I didn't know how to use the 'history' on google. It has now been a few years and I am now prepared to reread this and finish it because I REALLY WANT TO READ THE SEQUEL AND THE THIRD INSTALMENT!

This will take me weeks to do. I may not even make it out of this alive because there is so much. But I will persevere because I loved reading this the first time and I will love it the second time.
