Merlin doesn't trust the knights anymore and as such, starts acting like an actual servant when they are around. When it's just him and Arthur he's normal, but when the knights come he goes back to just a servant.

Ch. 23! Also good! I like that Merlin got good with a sword and was so protective that he didn't even think about using magic to kill the bandits

Ch.20! I seriously cant get enough of court warlock Merlin!

It's kind of ironic that the chapter that the author said they will try to update more often in, is the last one in about two years.
