Amazing story, it had everything, great MOTW which was so riveting that didn't see the twist of the fires being started by Tim and him kidnapping Sam coming at all! Thought it must have been the Nokken when Sam went missing! Great brotherliness throughout, awesome injured Winchesters and loved that you included Bobby coming to help them out. Well written and brilliantly thought out and perfect ending, Cas healing Sam and the lighthearted snowball fight between the Winchesters. A definite fave :)

I woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep, so instead I stayed up past when I actually started getting sleepy again for three hours to read this. and it was worth every minute. All of the hurt comfort was PERFECT. Awesome amounts of hurt, brotherly love overflowing of comfort. And Bobby! And Cas was so cute with his healing and his shyness. Definitely one of my favorites!

LOVE your ending! Nice touch having Cas watch, too. Whew! I was really worried about those burns! Glad you set things right!

This is awesome so far, but, I'm just curious...have you ever actually felt the water in Lake Superior? Because keeping even one hand in the water in the middle of summer for a minute is practically impossible, it's so cold-at least at that area of the lake. You describe the effects of hypothermia well but completely submurging in Superior in the dead of winter for that long? That would HURT. A LOT. I was cringing just thinking about it.

Holy crap! I live near minnesota's capital and I've been up north to split rock countless times camping! Who knew there were monsters up there? :P

Too lazy to log in... REALLY loved this story. As I do all of them ;). I don't know what it is about me, but I love Sammy Torture XD. I've been waiting for you to do it with fire, and was so happy when you did. Your descriptions/imagery were wonderful. The brotherly comfort afterwards always makes it better, of course. I'm so mean ;). I loved that Cas came in the end to fix things, and the cute snowball fight ending. I've become very spoiled from reading your stories... I tried to search for other good ones, but none of them were ever as well written and thought out as yours. You're characterization is perfect, and every plot line is creative and interesting

Love the snowball fight, but I love the final look of Cas even more. I could see that image of the light passing over him and him disappearing actually happening in an episode. Very cool. Also like your minster. Don't know if you created it yourself, but it's fantastic. Adore Sam's nerdy reaction as he's being drowned. Just all around fantastic.
