This was a treasure of a find! Thank you very much for taking the time to rewrite the series finale. Arthur and Merlin were both completely in character the entire time and I could totally see this version happening. My only sadness was that you didn't continue it through them getting back to Camelot and Arthur starting the changes of lifting the ban on magic - only because this was so good and I just didn't want it to end. Regardless, I'm definitely going to come back and reread this!

lol nicely done, though I do wish you made a sequel, where Merlin has to tell Gwen and then goes looking for Aithusa. But this was so sweet, though how the 'most powerful warlock ever' almost drowns himself would be a really ridiculous way for him to go after everything _'

I hope you will do a sequel to this so we can learn what happened when they got back to Camelot, and hopefully some adventures with everything out in the open. This has been an awesome alternate ending for the series. I wish it could have really gone down like this. Thanks for writing it.

Wow... really enjoyed the story.
Much better ending than in the show... I mean I understand he is the Once and FUTURE King, but I still wanted to see Arthur come to terms on just how much Merlin had done for him...
Oh well... great story and I loved the bromance, I feel like you really understand the characters...

excellent story, I do not deny that at the beginning I frusto the end of the series, but after watching it several times, I end agradandome hehe, of course I still prefer to live and merlin arthur blameless, to achieve save his friend, so I always appreciate the alternate endings, congratulations, success and later.
