Nice story. Good to see Norm portrayed in a positive light. I must admit I was hoping for something extra after the 'revelation'. But it was a good story that describes well what connecting with a sacred tree must be like.

ok. the tears didn't start, but i can feel them pricking to be let out. this story is beautiful and awesome and in a sense, you could feel as if you were Norm, listening to the loved ones you have lost. crap, now i'm gonna cry.

What a beautiful brief about the love and embrace Eywa has for all souls (Na'vi or Human), it does not matter, so long as your heart is pure and good!
Despite Norm being a Na'vi/Human hybrid, Eywa is forgiving, she has "seen" that Norm is more Na'vi like in his soul, and does possess the flawed mentality of most of the humans (Tawtute) she has witnessed in her presence.
The human mentality is grossly flawed to the point, that they have to kill anything that they neither understand, or gets in the way of gaining whatever it is they desire, or are searching for without thinking of the consequences, or pain and hurt that can result from such actions!
Norm has gone beyond that thinking, and wants nothing more than to be with his lost love (Trudy), and be a member to his new found family (the Omatikiya clan, and Na'vi in general).
Continue with the writing, I can never get enough of the positive feelings that come from good soulfull stories, about my chosen race ( I want to be Na'vi) more than anything else!
