This is wonderful, so far! I really like it :)

Here's my idea if you put Jack back in time:
He goes back and does what you had told us, but after he gains her trust, before he meets her son, a flash of white happened, but, somehow, he's still there! He puzzles over it (HA! PUZZLES! HAH- ahem, inside joke about a game), but spends more time with Mary, meeting her son, etc.

Then, after 2 or more days, the husband noticed that his wife is talking to no one. So, he tells her she needs to go to the Doctor, or he tells her he's going to run away, basically. She pleas that if he believes, he will see Jack. Few more days later, when he just about had enough, he believed and lo and behold, there's Jack!

Then after a few MORE days, Mary and Jack are talking when the white appears. He tells her sadly he finally has to go, but she doesn't want that to happen. She found him, and she's NOT going to lose him. So she grabs him, saying he is not going, ignoring his cry of alarm. Then a flash of white, and they are in HIS present! OH GODS, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! Well, I haven't gotten that far! :D Maybe it's up to you to figure out what to do! :D

Can you write one of these ideas please?

1) Jack meets the spirit of summer(any time frame)

2) Sandy, North, Tooth and Bunny are accidently pulled into Jack's memories-not just the ones from his childhood, all of them- and are shocked by what they see Jack has had to go through and still smiles so much (300 years alone cannot have been very pleasant)

3) Mary has her heart broken by a boy in the village and Jack has to go teach him a lesson - that is, if Mary doesn't get there first

4) Laura Adams (the girl from your other story) was turned immortal and Jack was unaware of it - she could be the spirit of fire, or Mary is brought back as the spirit of rainbows What if they lost their memories too?

5) Jack tries to save a kid in a burning house(before he meets and befriends the other guardians)

6) Jack meets each of the guardians for the first time

7) What happened between Jack and Bunny at the Blizzard of '68, anyway?

8) Baby Tooth falls sick and Jack has to take care of her

9) What if the Baby Teeth were the spirits of dead children, helping out the Tooth Fairy? Who was Jack's friend Baby Tooth in her past life?

10) Someone mistakes North for Jack's father or grandpa

11) Young Human Jack meets Bunny when the easter bunny gets trapped in a bear trap near his village

12) Human Jack tries to get out of doing chores

I like the name Mary, its more realistic for the time frame.

It's so sad!

I loved the story, but the last chapter was not really as I expected. I thought Mary would be overjoyed to see her brother again… hey! "I have a family now, I don't need you anymore!" that's like saying "go away, Jack. I don't want you here!". That wasn't exactly the reunion I had expected, to be honest.

At first I was like YES! HE'S DEAD!. *jack wakes up and isn't dead* NOOOO!
