Great concept. I hope you find a way to bring the other TF members in. I have a way and I'm willing to discuss it with you.

The Scout is just Scout. I can't imagine him being anything else.

* Good concept of how to drop him in the Mass Effect Universe but you neglected to show how his reaction to Nihlus's death (It doesn't matter if he wasn't human just the fact he was considered an ally and possibly the only organic alien he has encountered so far). Another thing neglected is the Prothean Beacon which was one of the major things that kick started the primary adventure in the game for without it all races of the galaxy are screwed without the warnings.
* I say take what you have and do a slight extension in some areas and rewrites in others (Switching points of view more often between the 2 main characters not only extends the story but also gives the reader more ideas on the characters themselves [More understanding on how you setup Shepherd based of the various ways in the game]).

Good start for a story I hope you choose to continue it.

Cool story bro, though it would be better if there was more of a threat to scout and not just him tanking through hoards of enemies. Maybe situations where a different class would be more handy?
