Bamon chapter 6 . 10/9/2013 I really like this story. Already swooning over the thought of a hot Lucius posing for romance novel covers. ;] Keep up the good work! |
Trixie's mom chapter 6 . 7/20/2013 This is a hoot! I will wet my pants laughing if you can work Fabio's "big acting debute" in to this..."I can't believe it's not butter...spraaaay!" |
zeeksmom chapter 6 . 3/8/2013 Hmmm . . . you don't think Hermione's reaction is perhaps a TAD exaggerated? She's going to stab her eyes out because she caught a glimpse of a gorgeous, sexy naked man? I'm going to have to have a talk with that girl! Or maybe she doesn't want to admit that her enemy IS a gorgeous, sexy man? I'm with you, though-I've never been a fan of romance novels; in fact, I've never been able to get through one. Oh, I take it back: I read The Mistress of Mellyn years ago, and it may well be the book that got the whole genre going. Still, today's novels aren't really my thing at all. They're far too silly for me to enjoy, and the cover art is one reason why. Speaking of which, I found the cover you're using-it's one in which an entirely naked man is standing behind a woman who's kneeling, clothed in a corset and slip, with hay in the background. She actually looks like she's in pain! Hey, *I* can picture Lucius like that and would LOVE to see it, as a matter of fact. Hermione, Hermione, oh, girl, get a clue! LOL! Great romp; I'm really getting a kick out of this. BTW, for Jason Isaacs fans, he's apparently finished shooting another series of Jackson Brodie mysteries for the BBC. In the States (assuming we get it) it'll be on PBS. |
A Pirate By Any Other Name chapter 6 . 3/8/2013 The idea that Hermione considers Shakespeare's tragedies as "light" reading deeply amuses me. And the line from Oedipus Rex was absolutely perfect (that play always disgusted me) and I can't think of a better way to describe her horror. I was practically rolling on the floor laughing when I read the parts about Hans directing the shoot...though when he started into the spiel "Now Lucio, you are bathing in the stream..." I had to stop reading for a moment because it's just so...how do people read books like that? LOL So Hermione and Draco are calling a truce. hmm? Interesting. I see the groundwork for some Draco-Hermione action here... Wonderful chapter! Can't wait for the next one! |
xiaoj chapter 6 . 3/8/2013 XD Lol... so she stumbled in on Lucius Malfoy filming for a cover? XDDD *ROTL* The horrors of that XD |
zeeksmom chapter 5 . 3/4/2013 LOL! I'll bet she walked in on Lucius with his clothes off, posing for another cover. I hope so anyway. Sigh . . . the lucky girl! Great fun, thanks! |
xiaoj chapter 5 . 3/4/2013 Lol... what did hermione sees in there? Lucius Naked or something? XD |
A Pirate By Any Other Name chapter 5 . 3/4/2013 *dies laughing* So. Has Hermione just walked in on a photo shoot? Or perhaps Lucius and Narcissa in flagrante delicto? Oh lord. not sure my brain can handle it. :P |
A Pirate By Any Other Name chapter 4 . 2/10/2013 Nice fight, Hermione! Love how she and the "brassy blonde" made up afterwards. Oh dear. Her parents...my heart trembled. I hope they aren't too angry with Hermione after the spell is lifted... It's alright, we can't see Malfoy all the time. Hermione did need to finish what she started. I'm looking forward to the next chapter! |
zeeksmom chapter 4 . 2/8/2013 This is great fun, but I confess to being somewhat disappointed. L/H is my favorite pair, and it doesn't look to me like they're going to get together, except perhaps as life-long enemies. And here I had my fingers crossed for a romance (I'd say hot sex, but this is rated "T"). Still, I'll be along for the ride. Thanks! |
xiaoj chapter 4 . 2/8/2013 okay... so what's next? Will hermione parents' memories return smoothly? |
Bella1999 chapter 3 . 2/5/2013 Ooohhh, Lucio! Hee! |
A Pirate By Any Other Name chapter 3 . 2/5/2013 I actually had to repress a shriek when I realized "Goyle" was Lucius. I completely understand Hermione's feelings on the matter, as my own brain may need to be bleached now form imagining it. It's all very strange. Thanks for another fabulous chapter, I can't wait for the next update! P.S. Your references (particularly to Monty Python) are genius. |
A Pirate By Any Other Name chapter 2 . 2/4/2013 Hmm, what will the muggle police make of her wand? Surely it will be returned to her? Oh dear, I wonder who her visitors are? "Lucio," perhaps? ;) Keep going, this is vastly entertaining. |
A Pirate By Any Other Name chapter 1 . 2/4/2013 I think my reaction would have been similar to Hermione's had I seen Lucius Malfoy on the cover of a muggle romance novel. Though oddly enough I can see it...this is off to an intriguing start. I am eagerly awaiting more. |
