You've written three brilliant chapters and the story breaks off! I can't stand it - please write more!

Sigh, it had never been an easy ride for the two of them in the fic or even throughout the series. I am hoping her and Gene get a little closer soon and I am dying to see her parents. I love Ray there, being protective of his guv and I love that despite everything they still comfort each other. Hope to see more soon.

Great to see another chapter of this and loving the slightly different and yet familiar take on Gene and Alex's meeting. Their latent attraction nicely ramped up until they simply couldn't resist - nice :-)

Great writing throughout, and I love the observations about Gene- it's so true, the poor bloke is broken by the time A2A comes around, and even worse at the end of it. I can't wait for the next chapter and the overflowing emotions there will undoubtedly be in it!

Oh that is beautiful. It was so good to see an update of this story in my inbox and this installment did not disapoint. I love how you have captured Gene's angst and his emotional turmoil of the last 7 years including the abscence of Sam and Annie, moving to London from Manchester and his personal despair and hurt over Alex leaving him only to turn up again looking better then ever. A beautiful description of Alex's thoughts about Gene's change in deamonor too. I also liked how you have captured the love and emotional moments that they share between the angst.

Somehow I have feeling that Gene's desire to keep things professional will not last especially since they have just slept together...sex between two people who have history and feelings for each other always leads to trouble, especially if Alex starts to see other men if she were to accept Gene's wishes. I look foreward to see how you develop this and I also look foreward to see how you handle Alex's parents.

Please update soon. I am enjoying this very much. :)
