Holy shit, I read the original story and said to myself, no I won’t read the alternative because the ending was happy and good, I’m sad the gate took Sirius but the boys are back. Then I couldn’t find any other good HP/FMA fics I hadn’t already read and came back to this alternate ending. And now I am a crying mess. I was so happy Sirius was in Amestris and alive. I was so sure that after the lumos worked he would be good old Sirius again! Oh boy the wrenching of my heart when you described Ed’s reaction on seeing him dead, I was destroyed it was such a whiplash. The ending was so hecking bittersweet and I’m not sure if I love it or hate it just because I want Sirius to be alive again... but he never really was happy in Amestris and now at least he’s back with his family. Although alternate ending is definitely not what I expected, I still thought it was really good, thank you for expanding on this fic! (although I probably prefer the original ending as it spares me the utter heartbreak of Sirius’s drawn out death, curse you for making me feel this way! (jk thank you so much))

So sad.
I really don't know how to feel right now.
I feel a bit dead. The regular version of this fic had be feeling like my heart had been pulled out, but this one feeling like my heart was pulled out, stomped on and burned to a crisp. I loved this so much.

Ah, fuck, I’m crying. That ending was just...that made me happy. It’s really sd that he died but at least the afterlife or whatever is hella lit. Thanks for writing this story! It’s excellent, as is Penance!
