Unfortunately I was one of those who didn't get the joke. I don't even remember about the identifying, let alone raspberry from HP canon.

Aw... poor Sherlock, he made all tha jam, but I think John is nice enough to eat the jam any way! Now we have to come up with a favorite for Sherlock, he does eat after all...

I obviously have not been involved in Sherlock fandom long enough as I was not aware of John and Jam. (To my credit, I do know that jam jelly!)
