The only thing I can urge you to do is to reread it, because I see you wrote the story a few years ago, and take care of your word errors. Quite a few times I saw you must have struggled with the spelling of a word until auto-correct OKed it, without realising it OKed a different word with a different meaning that sounds somewhat or quite like what word would have been logical in the context of your story. Whenever you struggle in such situation in the future I suggest double checking with an online dictionary just to make sure you have the right meaning.
