Rairakku1234 chapter 1 . 2/17/2013
'Sherlock sometimes thinks he should be worried about the amount other people speculate about how he and John got together.'

Hahahahaha nice opening line

'At these moments, John starts to put his head in his hands and crawl away in embarrassment at the vaguely interested look on his boyfriend's face.'

Hahahaha Giggle Snort. :)

'...when the memory of John reading the paper had drifted into his head. Just reading the paper, the tiny creases Sherlock could map exactly over his forehead as he frowned at something Afghani, one browned index finger stroking over his lips.'

Love it. Great description.

'John will one day let slip to Sherlock that he likes the quiet days better; as much as he enjoys hearing every little exclamation and wanton scream of pleasure, it's the tiny gasps and sighs and hitches of breath that escape when he's in a silent mood that betray the effect John has never managed to not have on him.'

Nice

'And that isn't worth sacrificing for his wildest fantasies.'

Nice ending,

emmish chapter 1 . 12/23/2012
Just re-reading some of your love Johnlock and realised I hadn't reviwed - travesty!

"That people put enough thought and effort into imagining these scenarios that they could probably make them into graphic novels..."
Ooh, there's a thought XD

"He didn't worry that John might think he was in pain and barge in, unsuspecting."
Ah, the old, 'barge-into-Sherlock's-room' scenario XP

"John let out his breath in a huff, sinking onto the foot of the bed. "All right then. Um… carry on.""
Yup, just carry on Sherl. :D

Looking forward to more! :)
Vanita chapter 1 . 11/22/2012
Good luck with NaNoWriMo! I'm behind - only 29k words and a lot to write this weekend. I think we'll all see each other in December. Please continue this when you're done, k?
Ssenillek Reh chapter 1 . 10/23/2012
So I'm just already so brilliantly in love with this wee ficlet of yours it's not even funny. Well, maybe a bit. But COME ON, it's only the first chapter! GAH, what you do to me.

But seriously, ohmygod. Just omg. I think your Sherlock is my most favourite Sherlock I've ever read (so far, ever ever ever, THE END). And not because of the smutty bits and the fantasies layered within fantasies and all that nonsense (good nonsense it is though, OH HO HO) - it's because this Sherlock IS A NORMAL PERSON, THANKS, just fantastically brilliant as well. He eats and sleeps and even fucking masturbates ("not a trembling virgin," OHMYGOD I DIED) when he needs/wants and is just so stupendously nonplussed at everyone believing the contrary, and it just makes him so much more human and lovely and wonderful and I never wanted to just squeeze the very life out of fictional characters with bone-crushing hugs before I got into this damn fandom, okay?, and a lot of it is you bloody fantastic writers with your bloody fantastic prose and diction and CAN I JUST GO QUIETLY SOB IN A CORNER NOW PLEASE because having to wait until December for more of this absolutely gorgeous work is just sheer torture.

If I weren't already participating in NaNo myself (for the fifth year in a row, no less), I reckon I'd be a lot more grouchy about not getting more of this sooner. But I'll be so busy with my own damn story anyway that I'll probably forget about normal things like fics and sleep and tumblr and work (well, no, not that unfortunately) until December anyway. But I digress. This fic? Beautiful. I am in love. And eagerly awaiting the next bit. Cheers!
SplendidDust chapter 1 . 10/22/2012
I think I enjoyed that far more than I should have.

"Yes, that was an invitation," - that was an excellently humorous line, although I'm not sure why.
Mirith Griffin chapter 1 . 10/22/2012
The premise here is really interesting. I hadn't heard the term "Droste effect" before, nor had I ever seen a picture of the cocoa box it's based on. I like the recursion here. It's like that Poe couplet: "All that we see or seem / is but a dream within a dream."

Re: "the sheer number of traits and strange habits that they attribute to him without prompt," I can give you a long list of prompts! I've seen hundreds of fics that depict Holmes as *less* extreme than he is. After all, Stamford describes him as the kind of guy who might slip a friend some poison (vegetable alkaloid) so that he could catalog the effects. And as for the not eating, there's that remarkable exchange "The Adventure of the Mazarin Stone":

Holmes: You have not, I hope, learned to despise my pipe and my lamentable tobacco? It has to take the place of food these days.
Watson: But why not eat?
Holmes: Because the faculties become refined when you starve them.

This, however, is just the pedantry of a deranged and obsessive fangirl, and I trust you to pay it no mind. As always, your writing is clever and intriguing, and I'm looking forward to finding out where you take it next. Good luck with NaNoWriMo.
ladyamen chapter 1 . 10/22/2012

Artemis Fortune chapter 1 . 10/22/2012
I expect this as a Christmas present, dear! Thanks for the tease! ;)
These sound very interesting. What ARE the five most used tropes of the Sherlock fandom? Hmm
