This was a good wrap up. The time skips were fairly smooth and easy to follow, and it was great to have a happy ending with a hint of positive change for the future.

this was beautiful. i cried at the end as i always do when there is the obituary. but it was absolutely beautiful and i have no complaints. you didnt drag it on as some authors do and you didnt cut if off abruptly or end up not finishing it as some do due to conflicting schedules or loss of interest. i am highly impressed and envious, i wish i could write as well as you have written this. unfortunately i can never quite get my stories right and give up.

Damn, Roisin would be a great Prime Minister. I love them all, Dumbledore's an idiot, I miss the O'Connor clan and the younger years of the story (although I wouldn't change anything), Cedric is sweet, and I can't think of everything else I want to say so I'll stick with this.

Seriously, how on EARTH is Dumbledore STILL in charge of the school, ESPECIALLY after the bs with Snape?! And why does the Ministry INSIST on being terrible when they could easily just not be?

The great problem in writing serious HP based fics is dealing with things JKR put in canon because she thought them "cute" (case in point, a ghost teaching history).

All by all, this chapter does conclude the story quite well; I suppose I would have preferred to have a few chapters in between 7 and 8, but I can understand why you didn't.
