Merlin's always right

Lol, angry Merlin (while totally justified) was very entertaining, especially with the comment about next Tuesday

I don't get why so many people think Merlin was "abandoned" just because the knights didn't go looking for him right then and there. I also don't get why so many people seem able to overlook the fact that Arthur was STABBED. TWICE.

In the scene we saw, Mordred didn't tell the knights that Merlin was lying just down the tunnel. All they knew was that he had gone off to create a diversion and that Arthur had gone looking for him. For all they knew Merlin had doubled back around and gone back to regroup with the main group of knights in the main cavern. What exactly do people want them to have done? Dumped Arthur on the ground and left him to potentially bleed to death from TWO stab wounds while they went searching through miles of tunnels for somebody else? Obviously they had to get Arthur to somewhere relatively safe where they could do something about the fact that he's potentially bleeding to death. I'm at a loss as to how a few seconds of helping a stabbed guy along a tunnel constitutes abandonment, because that's literally all we saw them do.
