This fic is so precious. Not to mention, well-written. I also think you got the Shep and Garrus dynamics so right, completely nailed what they would be like. A balance of domestic and badass. The two of them just pull it off so well.

I hope you do another chapter (or two, or three... or forever) of the daughter being younger because Garrus as a father melts my heart. A first boyfriend and a marriage one (separate hopefully) would be lovely as well. More power to you and your writing!

He brushed a few stray locks of sweaty hair from her forehead and wiped her hot skin with a wet washcloth. Hopefully the medication would help her sleep and break the fever that was burning her up.

Her eyes were closed and she was half out of it when she said, "You didn't answer me."

Garrus sighed and straightened her blankets while he thought about what he was going to say. "Even if you were throwing up on me, I'd still want to be here until you felt better. I'm your father, Maya, and I love you.""

Lovely chapter. Maya is very lucky to have such a wonderful father. You've explored their changing relationship through the years so well. It was also nice to read how warmly Maya had been accepted into the turian side of the family.

As for the comment below about the 102 degree fever, the boiling point of water is 100 degrees Celsius and 212 degrees Fahrenheit. I think it's pretty obvious that the author meant that Maya's temperature was 102 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 39 degrees C. Also, why would she have used Kelvin or something else? The number had to be based on a temperature scale that readers can relate to. Yes, maybe they will use some different scale in the future; for all we know they would use salarian googlybook, but unless something like that has been established in the ME lore it would just be confusing to the readers. - Just my 2 cents.
