Reviews for Where We Ought To Be
Heather Snow chapter 10 . 7/19/2016
I love that in the end the Doctor had his "It's a Wonderful Life" moment where he really saw that he has made a positive difference in the universe and that everyone wouldn't really be better off without him.
Ford.Ye.Fiji chapter 10 . 11/9/2015
Absolutely amazing. The epilogue is my favorite. Even if it made me cry. Lots of angst. This story really portrayed what I was feeling too, because wouldn't the Doctor having never existing been a major problem?! Anyway, Keep writing! :D
BurgundyHope chapter 10 . 3/31/2014
This was such a wonderfully written story! Seriously, the writing was fantastic, and you (Padfoot, the Polka-Dotted Sock, right? ;) ) managed to include all of the major "New Who" companions in a way that came off as completely believable and not at all cheesy-bravo! ;) Also, I absolutely LOVE the way you incorporated Donna into the story. She is one of my absolute favorites, and the idea of her being locked in the Pandorica in a world where everyone else forgot the Doctor was brilliant :D And the end of the epilogue was so sad, but poignant in such a beautiful way-you know, that peculiar feeling you get when beautiful doesn't necessarily mean good and you love it *because* of that. Well whether or not anything I just said makes sense, it means you are a great writer! haha

I'm so glad I found this story, and now I can go and enjoy the rest of your writing (and the other two writers of this account)-keep up the great work! :)

Where's this Glohchester place? Don't you mean Gloucester?
blue-box-quidditch chapter 10 . 12/3/2013
This was Fantastic. I love River getting to meet Rose and talking to Jack and the fact that the earth was actually affected by the Doctor's absence an how you slotted this into canon and just the whole thing, really.

Marvelous job.

timano chapter 10 . 9/3/2013
An excellent story, well worth reading, and one I thoroughly enjoyed! I particularly liked the Doctor's line "I'm sorry- I didn't think—" This is the source of many of his problems, after all... ;-) I normally rate stories on a ten-star scale; this one certainly merits at least 10 out of 10 stars! (I miss the Ponds. You captured their essences well, but we'll never have another set of companions like them. Which is as it should be, after all.)
IstariWho chapter 10 . 7/7/2013
AWESOME!
Great story, and great way of explaining how they missed the Mels and River thing. I'm glad the Doctor got to understand a little of what the universe might be like without him.
Hannon-le!

D': DOCTOR!

Your an amazing writer to make me feel this way!

Oh GOD THE FEELS!
From:
No, he didn't keep contact with many people. Mostly it was for his own sake, the old man who couldn't stand to watch the short lives of his friends bloom and flare and then wither and fade into ending. But it was also for their sake
To:
Locked up in the big, blue toy-box to wait for another friend to love and leave him.
Where he ought to be. But not where he wanted to be.

He just wants to be with his friends.

D': Will they all rember this?
Donna's line: Spaceman!" Donna yelled, and he looked at her. "Everything I am—my memories, the DoctorDonna—is going to die." His face fell he seemed to be waiting for judgment. "I just want to say: I forgive you." :made me cry

Will Donna get her memories back?
