Reviews for Sensory Stimulation Side Effects
Koko chapter 1 . 7/10/2017
This was cute!
Guest chapter 1 . 1/5/2016
I liked it! I always thought that he would have sensory overload. Since he can't go a moment without noticing something, he would get rather worked up. I myself Often get a small case of sensory overload.
ButterscotchCandybatch chapter 1 . 9/5/2013
Yeah, I like it - you've described really well the shift from "too much" to "Ok with silence". Oh and this was hilarious! "he just needed a cigarette or someone to be murdered, because that would calm him down..." LOL!
Polaneva chapter 1 . 8/13/2013
This is cool. I realize that in the show, Sherlock would just ignore it or turn it off, but still, this just shows that bit of humanity that he's always trying to hide. The peaceful part at the end is a nice close, since it seems like something Sherlock might like, even if only for a little while before he got bored. :)
Anyway, great FanFiction.

deathlyHealer chapter 1 . 4/19/2013
It was by far more interesting than most I have read on the matter.
Riaxauf chapter 1 . 3/17/2013
Lovely! I was very suprised to find this story. Sensory overload, which I myself suffer from, is a little known condition. It was really interesting to see Sherlock dealing with something that I have to deal with often. I thought John was spot on, as well as Sarah. It was all very sweet!

Liked it. Very nice.
Zelda12343 chapter 1 . 1/5/2013
Sarah was great in there-I love how kind she was to Sherlock!
I also liked the general premise of the fic-reminds me of a scene in the recent Sherlock Holmes movie in which Holmes is noticing everything in a restaurant… it's just a cool idea to me. Nice job!
katherine chapter 1 . 12/3/2012
Awe this was perfect! You should write more sensory overload situations! I loved this so much !
Radon65 chapter 1 . 11/26/2012
Sensory overload fics are interesting for me, because while I don't believe it afflicts Sherlock on the actual show, I always find them fun. I liked his stream of deductions about all the people, and then the food, and the slow escalation of it all bothering him. I'm wondering why he didn't just tell John the cookies got dropped on the floor, though - was he too wigged out to talk much...? Nice that John eventually took Sherlock outside, and I really like how John had to haul Sherlock up to get him out of there, but how as soon as Sherlock was like, oh we're leaving? he got ahead of John and rushed outside. I really liked it when Sherlock considered that he needed either a cigarette or someone to be murdered, because that would calm him down. Cute John attempting to text Sarah unnoticed, and Sherlock totally just reading the texts. I feel like the fic ended a little abruptly, but it was fun and had a lot of good stuff. Pretty good characterization as well.
Kokoroyume chapter 1 . 10/1/2012
Great story :)
doctorjay chapter 1 . 9/12/2012
Favorite line: ..."he just needed a cigarette or someone to be murdered, because that would calm him down..."
Prothoe chapter 1 . 9/11/2012
Sensory overload - absolutely plausible! Sherlock's special ability/talent is not only a gift, but also a burden.
And I totally agree with "monkeymail": I prefer when such stories do not end with slash.
Good job!
1895 chapter 1 . 9/10/2012
This is totally how I imagine Sherlock would feel. Thank you :)
