Loved this! I loved how they both couldn't take being without each other. Although in my head they would have both caved in a lot sooner! I also LOVE the fact that Tom excelled at cricket.

I remember reading this when first published and wanted to again before the upcoming episode featuring the cricket match. I wish the episode could have played out like this (i.e. with Sybil still with us). This is delightfully funny and well-written.

This story was very well written, but i wholle doubt that Sybil would sexually and emotionally blackmail her husband into abandoning his political beliefs.

You got Branson right on the money, self righteous as only a commie can be, too arrogant to make any gesture of getting along with Sybil’s family. But Sybil knows just how to get her way, like always, and it was a nice bonding moment for them all.

Very funny and very sweet; I confess, for a moment I thought Robert would recruit Sybil, and that she would prove to be a great player! That would be interesting! Sybil vs. Branson (and Matthew) on the cricket field! I think that should be your next story ;o)

I could totally see this happening. Tom being really good at cricket but not wanting to play because of his beliefs and Robert really wanting to win so he gets Sybil to persuade Tom and Matthew being...Matthew. Idk which part about it is my favorite, but manipulative!Sybil would probably be it. That and the fact that something as simple as winning a cricket game is how Robert starts to see Tom as part of the family

Basically in all of that, I was trying to say that I love this fic and wish that this would happen in S3
