As much as i adore for saki to end up with madarame, and how the author finally crushed that dream of mine in the manga later on. It's just kinda don't feel right to split saki from kousaka. Tough luck madarame, He's just purely unlucky /

Well, in Genshiken 2nd generation Chapter 80 that is almost exactly what happens and it makes me cry inside, because he is who he is, by that I mean he is someone that will be there for you as friend and confidant, and comrade in arms. Romance wise he's well and yea this is from a guy's point of view, he's akward, shy, will put up a front to give others the appearance that he's ok with the outcome, he's not hurt or wounded emotionally. When in truth, he's hurt even almost devestated, but he'll never give them the satisfaction or alowing others to see the pain and have them pity him. So I guess in that aspect and even though I'm married with children and have a job that brings home what is needed...I'm still "otaku" to the core.

I really enjoyed this story. It wasn't poorly written and was realistic, for the most part. I think that, given Madarame's character, though, he would have better sense than to confess at the time that he did. I mean, honestly, that would, in fact, be part of the reason that Kasukabe would deny him. But overall, it was good. However, I could have gone without the philosophical remarks at the end, mostly because I don't have the patience for combining philosophy with literature.

From time to time I check for some activity here in the Genshiken section, always hopeful. Madarame and Saki are really my absolute favorites of any series. I really love how you've portrayed Madarame here, and also Kousaka. You've kept their personalities and actions all very true to how they are in the manga. I can't wait to read more of this story- It made my day to find this chapter here. Please continue!
