This...actually made me cry. As someone who as lost my own parents as a child I understand that longing and desire that Lucas, Claus, and even Flint feels. No other game destroyed me from the inside out more than the ending of Mother 3. Your take on the ending was beautiful, yet bittersweet in it's own way. I loved it. Thank you.

All my feels. All of them. Even the characters' physical feelings were very poignant.
This is beautiful. For some reason, upon re-reading this, the very last line hit me surprisingly hard. The description of the world being restored was magnificent, let alone the description Lucas and the majestic Dragon, and everything else. There were several very interesting little details in this, such as the sunflower field becoming 'something of a respite' and 'the body in his arms [being] an anchor' (as another reviewer also quoted). [Lucas lets his heavy eyelids droop for a moment. He is weary, but so is the rest of the world. The planet is exhausted, completely barren and devoid of life beyond the shores of the islands. Disease has set in here as well: the mutilated chimeras, the displaced, brainwashed people who would serve and kill without question, the scorched earth of Sunshine Forest that would never heal.] This was an important reminder as well... I could probably quote half the sentences in this oneshot, but I won't ;)
And what is this? A series-spanning flashback? Heartwarming and genius, especially considering we players were given a definite 'END' screen at the end of the third game T_T

There is nothing I can say in this review box that could word how magnificent this story was. "The body in his arms is an anchor; letting go means being set adrift." is my favorite line in this, easily.

I didn't really start weeping like a loser until the part with Hinawa, even though the description of Duster brought me really closely. Hinawa's part was really magnificent too, and this is one of the rare few weirdos who was never attached to or emotionally strung by Hinawa, but you managed to make me to. )':

I WISH I COULD SAY MORE and it'll probably shock you when I say Polaris is still my favorite. BUT this is easily one of the ebst mother 3 fics, though. Congrats on making it.

OK, this is now officially the best fight with Claus/last needle/Dark Dragon's awakening fic I have ever read. My friend, you've just made one girl who's tired of the world she's living in and would rather escape to other worlds through fanfiction very happy. I wonder if you could possibly write a continuation of this in Claus's POV? Pretty please with a cherry on top? -w-

This was an excellent story and beautifully well written. I loved it and the message. The emotions felt real and quite powerful. Overall good I'd read a continuation of this.
