Okay this is seriously sad af. Or at least the parts where Dave and Dirk both woke up from nightmares were. But I loved the fact that Dirk acknowledged that he did raise Dave a bit.. uhm.. weirdly for lack of a better word atm. I absolutely adored their interactions and Dave's split second hesitation! I really think that you captured their personalities very well!

I have no clue what to say. I'm sitting here with my mouth open and tears in my eyes. I've seen SO MANY fics where Bro's dead, and Dave's dealing with it and stuff. THIS, though, is one of the best fics I have ever read. And I've read ALOT of them. Thank you SO MUCH for writing this beautifully written, amazing, stunning masterpiece. This story has just the right amount of sadness, with an amazing concept. Sometimes, all we need is a happy ending.
