I don't remember if I've ever posted a review to this story, but even if I have, I'll just do it again.

Okay, I simply loved this story! I really like all these merman AUs and I liked Alfred's (and Arthur's, too) portrayal. I liked the plot, the idea, everything. And how Alfred, basically, made Arthur end up on his island and made him his mate. Even if I felt sorry for Arthur, it was a nice idea for a plot. And I liked how Alfred eventually was able to let him go.

Which leads me to my thoughts that this story is kinda sad. I was saddened that Arthur still wanted to go back. Well, it would be most likely to be this way, but I still wished he'd be just happy with Alfred, in his own way. And when Alfred let him go home - it made me sad as well. I actually expected Arthur to eventually go back looking for Alfred... and was a little disappointed that he didn't try to do even that, if not come back fully, then at least go see Alfred once.

However, I was glad that Alfred found him. And, once again, saddened. :'D He had to become a human. And all the drama around it. Yeah. It was written very realistically how he was suffering from his choice, doubting it, and it kinda broke my heart how he was all insecure and unhappy. But the story does have a happy ending, so it's nice. :') I hope he gets used to his life and his new body.

In short, I love this story!

I'm drowing in fluff right now... So much fluff. I'm also cryong because of how terribly, undeniably terrifying it must have been for Alfred to adapt to all these changes being thrown in his face. I'm just gonna go sob in a corner now.

tugged at my heartstrings, yes it did. it made me realize how great the sacrifice is, abandoning all that you know for... i dunno... love? and he wasn't even sure about it. it was gut wrenching, heart breaking, the feelings that alfred expressed were so honest and full of hurt, what he thought to be true, so painful. i loved it 3

Even though the chapters were short, they conveyed so much and were so beautifully written, so much so that the length didn't even matter. Thank you for writing such a magical story :)
