Nice little story. The only critique I can make is separating your flashback from your present time. Italics normally work, or you could use a scene breaker.

Aww this was adorable even though it was short. I am a sucker for all things Gabe/Joshua. I really liked this wrangle because you showed Gabe's father side but without getting corny. And I agree with Joshua, Spiderman is better.
