lipglosskaz chapter 1 . 7/20/2017 Awww this was super lovely..thanks so much. |
Jade chapter 1 . 3/21/2016 Damn Jade back at it again in the comments section. This was so sweet and sad and nice. I loved the slight switching of the roles and how Sam is trying so hard to make things good for Dean. |
ThysaNoir chapter 1 . 1/9/2016 "Were your childhood memories that traumatic?" I never thought how much emotion it is that this question must have. Because whatever it is happen in Sam's childhood, Dean thought it's on him. So, if Sam's answer is 'yes', it will felt like a failure for Dean. I love how you take your way to emphasize that fact. Thank you, like always, for pointing something so forgettable to be some kind of revelation :) |
Fi Suki Saki chapter 1 . 1/21/2015 It's... it was somehow remind me of season 5 about Dean found out that one of Sam's heaven was about Thanks Giving with someone else's family ! (and none of his heaven is related to Dean!) It was Heart warming and Heart breaking fic ! Sam's POV was just so... *sobbed painfully* |
NoilyPrat chapter 1 . 11/24/2014 OK, good cry here. Love this one. Christmases growing up. LOL at the shooting a big red suited guy breaking in ... :D |
KilianaFelagund chapter 1 . 10/13/2014 I think it is safe to say I just about cried... in the coffee shop... surrounded by people... who are still giving me odd looks as I sniffle... but what do I care because that was great. I love how simple and perfect the ending was. :) |
NightShadow131 chapter 1 . 2/11/2014 This is perfect. Just perfect. I loved that Sam changed his mind and set things up for Dean. Even though their Christmases clearly weren't all that great and things had to be scrounged together/stolen for them, Dean always tried his hardest to make something of it for his little brother. I'm glad Sammy realizes this, both here and obviously in the show. The scene with Jessica is just heart-breaking on so many different levels. Because of what could have been with them, the lone tear, not calling Dean, even after thinkin' long and hard about it, and not getting any calls. It's always sad how focused John was on the hunt, and not doing the little things (or even most the big things) that his sons needed. Sammy was lucky to have Dean, although that's kinda the point, lol. I really liked the way you described Jess and Sam together, though. She knew how much Sam needed to talk to Dean after all. I like little Sammy in the beginning, being sad that 'Santa' didn't bring anything for Dean so he wanted to give his last gift to Dean. Then it's the crayons that he had wanted for a long time, but still was going to give them to him. Nice how Dean just says they'll share, that Santa gave him things already, socks and whatnot that he knows Sammy won't want to see. I always feel so sorry for Dean, all the responsibility that John put on his shoulders. ;-; This is a perfect addition to the episode, and perfect Christmas story. Loved the clean-up scene after they get back to the motel. Even though Sam feels terrible; with a concussion (and omg would having your fingernail torn off hurt!) and beat to hell, how he still goes through with his plan. Gets Dean out and pulls in his decorations. It always amused me how Sam made the eggnog too strong even for Dean, lol. Love this! Awesome job. |
Pizzapig chapter 1 . 12/24/2013 Oh my gosh, my feels, this story is heartbreaking and cute, and warming and brotherly, and its just done a number on my emotions, im crying now, just great story. |
Freya922 chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 This one got me all choked up. A glimpse of those holidays past, and Dean so lovingly trying to make them special for Sam - lovely. I especially appreciated how you illustrated Sam's passage from child to teen to adult, and the accom |
sapphireswimming chapter 1 . 6/16/2013 Ugh, this is such a great story. I loved how you were able to use the back flashes to get all of the feelings across. Sam figuring out what their family is like and how it operates and how Dean was actually trying to give him what he wanted, even if he only saw how it fell short of what he thought he wanted. The way it all turns around then, for Sam to realize why he has to give Dean a Christmas of his own, is absolutely beautiful. Definitely read this one several times over and I'm loving the whole 'christmas in June' thing it's giving me. XD |
