Im tearing up, this is a beautiful piece of Sauron’s redemption. It is so tragically sweet and hopeful to have Mairon help the elf-orcs, they were both twisted by Melkor. Namo of all the Valar wanting Sauron, too good. Thank you for writing and completing this story, the characterization of Sauron is excellent.

This is a far from expected turn of events

Its not a fight anymore, its Sauron and Aragorn getting to know each other. Sauron is even enjoying himself, he hasnt anything better to do and this is possibly the only way he can communicate (which is a genius idea). I wonder if Sauron will begin to show Aragorn any good memories willingly or unwillingly. Basically THIS IS AMAZING. WHY DOESNT IT HAVE MORE REVIEWS?

Love this. It's heart-warming and in a way satisfying to read, because I really want to believe that there could be redemption for Sauron when all his hatred and anger have burned away. Your idea that he would come to take care of the orcs is ingenious - it suits his character that he would go his own way, and one no one had tried before. And then it's nice that you took a moment to think about the fate of the orcs since they are always forgotten by everyone.
I really enjoyed the scenes and pictures Sauron and Aragorn exchanged. Some were sad, some funny (the book - that was hilarious!), but they all had in common that the two enemies finally understood each other, at least a little. And how could there be real piece without understanding and forgiveness?

I've go a lot of things to said on a lot of matters...I felt agrand admiration for this. So grand that were I to praise it as I think and feel like, heh, who know that it wouldn't grow a shine akin to that of the Silmarils?More seriously, I hope to find energy and time to give this the proper review it is due. Even if sush review is bound to make over 2000 words. For now I'll just say this: everything Sauron was genius. So extremely tast perfect IC beautiful, ugly, sad, michevious, proud admirable...that I was only surprised not to see his Maia name used at the last sentence of the last paragraphe, given the very topic Namo disscusses and given how much means a name on Arda and Aman. Regarding that ending, in fact, I can understand the need to tease the readers you've generously and fairly...feels-feeding. Yet, I still think that a last chapter or epilogue would have deserved a place in this tale. There are many reasons for the scene between Sauronah I can't-let's say Aulendil at least) between Aulendil and Namo to be neither simple notr as much fluff as it may seem. One of them being that no one asked the Maia his opinion, another would be an occasion for Namo to give back his name to the Maia, anything could be better than Sauron, no? (Even Gorthaur seems less...inadequate now that he doesn't have his ring nor his master.) Another reason would have been solving the problem of what the other Valar, Maiar and Eldar would think of only two Valar's decision. I'm thinking about Aulë, namely. Not that he has much right to speak, but he might have thought so...or on the contrary, might have wanted to apologise. Another reason would be having a glimpse at the orcs' behavior around of him, once they stop fearing him. And there are a couple more reasons I can think about. But I'll stop now for now because my fingers are hurting and I have to cope with the feels. (But I want you to know that your Sauron/Mairon/Aulendil is among the best ever ever ever)

It is quite entertaining to read how Annatar will still try to seduce and fight anyone avaliable even when there isn't so little to gain from it.

Very good beginning. Very curious to read the rest and to find out how the Queen was poisoned and if she lived.

It would be really interesting to read about how Sauron turns the orcs back into elves, as well.

This is a very interesting opening. I'm hooked. My reading of this will be slower than usual. I'll be busy for a while, but I'll read and review when I can. I love the historical tie-ins, the mentions of Aule and Finrod and the brief glimpses of impact some of those memories may have had for him.

Question: The cards at the beginning, what are those exactly?

Was the twins Sauron's children?

I know, I'm only commenting on the "hilarious" parts and not on the touching and hurt/comfort-y ones... But I enjoy those as well, trust me! So far I find this a very fascinating story. The moments that make me laugh are just a great plus ;)
